Frankfurt, Germany - The German Ice Hockey Federation (DEB) and Infront will continue their long-standing partnership until the end of the 2027/28 season after signing a new exclusive marketing agreement. It covers all advertising and sponsorship rights for DEB national teams and includes international media rights for their games.

The agreement, which continues a partnership which first began in 2006, offers DEB the opportunity to also identify sponsors through its own marketing department. It is the result of a comprehensive market analysis followed by intensive negotiations between the DEB and Infront under the professional guidance of a specialised consultant. As part of the contractual arrangements, the DEB also called on the professional support of an agency specialising in tenders and rights packages.

DEB President Dr Peter Merten: "With this new contract we have established a strong overall marketing concept with two main pillars for the coming years. The DEB will continue to benefit from the partnership with Infront whilst also having the opportunity to drive forward the marketing of the national teams ourselves with our association's own marketing department. In this way, we can optimally position the DEB as an attractive advertising partner for existing and new sponsors and continuously develop ourselves further. We are delighted to be able to continue to rely on Infront's great commitment and comprehensive expertise."

Infront Germany Managing Director Matthias Pietza: "Infront and the DEB have been working together for almost 20 years in a spirit of trust and partnership, during which we have been able to significantly and continuously increase the value of the DEB's commercial rights. We will use the years leading up to the 2027 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Germany to together further expand the advertising and communication platforms around the successful DEB national teams. The top 10 rankings in the IIHF world rankings, with the men's team fifth and women's ninth, provide an excellent sporting basis for future marketing success. This is complemented by excellent media coverage and high popularity ratings."
